Which is funny, because they are about people who lived in the ice age. I also want to know where Jondalar and Ayla go know that they have resolved not only their differences, by agreed to care for anohter family as payment for the fight with Laramar.
In the comments the issue of my starred rating came up- honestly, even I questioned it. Also, no stupid-ass Jondalar dopes in this series. Pretty fun read, too. But the brutal and proud youth who is destined to become their next leader sees her differences as a threat to his authority.
For me though, they felt cumbersome and I found myself skimming those paragraphs and pages. In addition to a personal letter from Jean M. His historical research is impressive, but the sex is rampant and ridiculously trashy as is the dialogueand there are rivers of blood.
I really recommend these books if this is your kind of thing. These books really became a part of my life and to this day this is the series that I always respond with when asked what my favorite books are.
Put me off Turtledove for life. The entire section is words. I immediately loved these books. Also, for some nice tidbits of late Victorian life, mystery, and a dash of romance: Each book involves the same basic cast, but focuses on different characters.
